Using Mobile Devices as Assessment Tools
Mobile devices are increasingly being used for surveys, peer assessments, self-assessments, and instructor assessments. These mobile quizzes, tests, and reviews are accessed and delivered in different ways:
Some services deliver a quiz or review as a text message to cell phones.
Some services publish the material to a Web site, which the learner then views on his or her mobile device.
The most common format for these mobile assessments is the multiple-choice question, with either a single answer or multiple answers. Mobile tests are not limited to using text. Audio and images can also be used in many mobile assessments.
